What a Great Thing!
I'm watching the inauguration now and it is really something to see. It was interesting to see them trip up on the words with the oath, but otherwise it is amazing to see all the people down there! Obama is starting his speech, and it sounds like he is doing it right --not trying too hard to find some catch-phrase or something like a gimmick. Now that he's ended his speech, I see one network is leaving some silence for us to take in the moment. Those cannons must have been loud down there! What a great scene, no matter what your politics are, the fact that we can do this every so often, with no violence or such, what a great country to live in.
Now they are doing the poem thing... this is always interesting, as I studied poetry in college. I see Obama is listening... did you catch his kids saying stuff right after he was sworn in? That was pretty cute.
Man, it looks real cold down there! I hear it is like 20 degrees or such. I can't wait for the parade and see if he tries anything like getting out of the car. The security there must be real tight if he walks, but I hear his limo has like five inches of armor. Can't wait to see the parade!
