Ultimate Remote Control
Some recent advances in technology has gotten me thinking about the ultimate remote control for my digital media center. Don't get me wrong, the Gyration wireless mouse and keyboard is excellent for controlling the digital media center from the sofa. But some software, with tiny fonts, just aren't made for the television. So one excellent idea is to install the Ultra VNC server on the digital media center and control the entire thing using a tablet PC on the sofa as shown in the photo below.
You can following the instruction presented in this "Remote Desktop for Microsoft Windows XP Home" article to install Ultra VNC on your home digital media center. Then you can present your friends with the biggest remote ever!

By the way, I forgot to mention that the tablet PC shown in the photo is a Norand Pen*Key 6642.

Yesterday, I found Tons of Google Android 7" Tablet on eBay for $100. With android-vnc-viewer, VNC viewer/client for Android platform, you can have an even more awesome ultimate remote control. ;-)
