Finally! The Horror of Harper's Island has Begun!
Harper's Island is a new television show that I have been anticipating for quite some time now. The ingenious trailers started running months and months ago and I just couldn't wait for April 9, 2009 at 10 PM! As soon as the show began I was jumping out of my seat and wondering what the heck was going on! I mean 10 minutes into the show and someone was already dead! We weren't even introduced to the character; we just know that he was the bride's cousin. It was just the way that he died that was creepy and ingenious all at the same time! I am a huge fan of horror/thriller movies and I think this show will definitely deliver! I will be planted to my couch every Thursday for Harper's Island, without a doubt!
In the first episode we were randomly introduced to many of the key players that will be participating in the wedding extravaganza. I just have one question� Does anyone else think the bride's niece is a little bit creepy? She definitely sent me some bad vibes trying to fry a snail and creepily staring at her parents while they were sleeping! I don't know! Maybe it's just me!
I am saddened to have lost the flavor that is Uncle Marty so early in the show! He added quite an interesting dynamic to the situation! But, alas, someone has to go and so it is what it is! I found myself interested and emotionally connecting to the sad tale of Abby. Plus, she just seems like the “cool” chick. I am just wondering why the groom isn't marrying her instead of the snobby, rich girl! I found the back story of Abby and the prior murders to be quite a nice touch and that creepy tree was awesome! I loved it! I just can't wait to see what happens next week! Who knows what will happen with this one!

Was that her cousin that was tied up under the boat? Wow. I must have missed that part. How was that revealed?

It sure was... Remember how they kept saying that they were waiting for the cousin... That he was supposed to be on the boat... That tells me that that was the cousin... I think at one point the bride mentions the cousin and they follow a bottle thrown into the water to underneath the boat as well. My inner detective told me that this poor man was the cousin. I could be wrong... but he was the only one they were missing. I just have one question... If this murder occurred on the mainland... then the killer most definitely is one of the wedding party... unless he is just a well-traveled murderer... This show is great! It has me second-guessing all of the characters... Except Abby... I hope she isn't the killer... I would be so mad! :)
