Heroes - heading no where?
'Heroes', created by Tim Kring, is an American television drama series that deals with science fiction. The show premiered on NBC on September 25, 2006 and is produced by Universal Media Studios in association with Tailwind Productions. This television series basically tells the story of ordinary individuals who develop supernatural abilities and how they use them to prevent any disasters from happening.
'Heroes' has David Anders, Kristen Bell, Santiago Cabrera, and Jack Coleman among others in its lead roles and is primarily filmed in Los Angeles, California. The first season (23 episodes) received critical acclaim for its concept and the way the series was developed. That paved the way for a number of awards the following year with the series nominated in eight categories at the 2007 Primetime Emmy Awards and also at the 2007 Golden Globe Awards.
However, the show has not been able to keep up the great run it had in the first season. The second season did not fare badly but the third season has been the writing material for most critics who have slammed them big time. The ratings for the last season turned out to be 4.0/9 whereas it averaged about 11 million in its second season. Hopefully, the creative team of 'Heroes' will manage to come up with extraordinary stories to woo the lost fans of this series.
