Sylar--is he really in Matt's head?
Matt Parkman's disturbing visions of Sylar are puzzling to me. Is Sylar really in Matt's head, or is he just a hallucination, the result of Matt's conflicted feelings about his own power? The vision of Sylar hasn't done anything yet that Matt couldn't do himself. I wonder if Matt needs to somehow put the mental remnants of Sylar back into Sylar's own head, or if this is a mental health issue he needs to deal with on his own. I can understand that he might worry about abusing his powers the way his father did, especially now that he has a child of his own to watch out for. But why does he seem to believe that even the most beneficial use of his powers (to solve crimes, catch bad guys, protect his colleagues) would lead inevitably to the dark side? Meanwhile, the shock of being murdered as Nathan Petrelli seems to have kicked the real Sylar back into his normal form. It remains to be seen if he is missing any aspects of his memory or personality that might have been left behind in Matt's psyche, or if he'll be back to 100% Sylar power right from the start.
