What Happened to Heroes, or Am I Just that Lazy?
What Happened to Heroes, or Am I just that Lazy?
Like many other people I tuned in sort of casually to watch the Series premiere of Heroes about 3 years ago and was INSTANTLY sucked in. I rearranged my schedule to make sure I was home to watch (no dvr at the time). I held my breath each week as the plot unfolded and groaned when the show concluded every episode. When Season 1 was released on DVD, I rushed to the nearest retailer, and then rushed home to have my own, personal Heroes marathon. I squirmed and fidgeted waiting for the premiere of Season 2; it was a big day in my house when that day finally arrived. Heck, I even tried to convince my husband to cut his waist length hair like Peter's.
And now 2 years later (I now have dvr by the way), how do I put this delicately?
I could care less. Really. I'm not fickle, but somewhere along the way in Season 2 I just stopped caring. Dare I say I got bored? Don't get me wrong Peter's haircut is still darling but that's about all I have to inspire me to watch the show at this point. Have I just become too lazy to follow the ever-increasingly twisting notions of the writers or is it possible that they've just pushed too far? Is it too much to ask that a few less new characters be introduced every other episode? It's just too much for me. So I no longer follow Heroes with any attachment and the episodes are just eating valuable space on my dvr as they pile up each week. I think its time to free some space
