Abby and McGee - Together Again?

Is it just me, or would anyone else like to see Abby and McGee together again? I know it was a short-term thing, only in season one and for a little while that the two of them were together, but I really liked the idea of them together. I thought they balanced each other out very well.

Where McGee was very boring, Abby was exciting. Yet they can both share their love of forensics and their knowledge of computers. They already are able to finish each other's thoughts and sentences. Why not have them finish each other by being a couple.

Perhaps the writers didn't want us to rule them out as romantic possibilities. I get the importance of fans being able to see all of the characters in a show as a 'fantasy' of theirs. If they are in a relationship within the show it lessens that impact. So, maybe the whole reason behind this is so that they are more 'adorable' to the fans since they are single.

Maybe, I'll get my way and they will end up back together. After all, if you watch closely you will see there are still some little moments between them.

I find it humorous that the whole reason their relationship stopped is because Abby wanted Tim to keep it just as friends between the two of them once they delved into the relationship world, yet she still has a bit of a jealous bone. If McGee and a woman are mentioned or a woman is overly nice to him, you can see a little flare up in Abby's temper, almost like she's protecting her man, even though she has no claims to him anymore.

You can also obviously see that McGee still has feelings for her. He makes cute comments to her and is visibly hurt when she shoots them down or insults him, which I think is her defense mechanism to keep a little distance between the pair of them. When she was being stalked, he took her in and tried to protect her from her crazy ex (although she messed it all up by opening the door when the lunatic was outside trying to get to her).

Even if they don't end up back together, I do love the tenderness that is still there between them and that they both show in their special ways while also trying to retain their own identity.
