Countdown to Season Finale!
Next week is the season Finale of NCIS and this week's episode was quite the exciting lead up! If you have not watched it yet, be warned, there are spoilers coming!
This week's episode is a continuation of last week's case where the NCIS team has teamed up with the Office of Special Projects in California to work on a case of arms that are being sold to a suspected terrorist group.
In a shootout, the arms 'contact', Liam is killed. The team takes information from his body to find the hotel where he is staying. There they find four suitcases of weapons and passports letting them know that whomever Liam is supplying is coming back for the weapons, so they set up Callen as Liam and wait for the contact. In comes Michael Rifkin to make the deal.
As agents descend on him he says he is Mussad and that Ziva will vouch for him. She does, but that makes her look suspicious, as if she knew something that she wasn't telling. Both McGee and Tony are worried that Ziva is not being straight with them and could be helping Rifkin, but Gibbs stands by her.
Michael explains he was tracking down the same terrorist cell NCIS was looking for. The difference is that he is killing them off as he finds them. While NCIS tells him to get off the case, he doesn't and Rifkin is killing off the suspects they are trying to capture alive.
As Rifkin is closing in on the final suspects, the NCIS teams jump into action and are able to stop him from killing the last of the terrorist cell. Gibbs confronts him and tells him to go back to Tel Aviv. He agrees, but you later find out that he made one stop, in Washington D.C., where you see him in bed with Ziva.
Next week this will all come to a head as the teaser shows a fight between Tony and Michael Rifkin with the caption of "One agent in love with an assassin, another is on to him. One of them won't survive." It seems it will really be an explosive season finale.
Meanwhile, in a flash back to the California Team, Callen and Sam are driving down the road and Callen says he always feels like someone is watching him.
Sam jokes it's probably that Russian girl he had heard about.
As Callen gets out of the car you see a blonde who looks Russian focused on him. His eyes meet hers as he is walking. Just then a van pulls around the corner and opens fire on him. Sam runs to his aid and calls for help and you see a bleeding Callen in his arms as the scene closes.
