Dead Reflections from NCIS

NCIS is currently in its eight season, and the storylines and writing are still at the highest levels. This week's episode of NCIS delivered on all scores. "Dead Reflections" is a continuation of the port-to-port serial killer investigation, which originated in an earlier episode entitled "Two-Faced". The investigation is lead by Special Agent E.J. Barrett (special guest star Sarah Jane Morris), to Gibb's complete displeasure. Cut off from the investigation by Barrett, reduced to quasi inter-office spying, Gibbs and the team embark on their own investigation. The episode was a NCIS classic, introducing a male character who is extremely reminiscent of Abby, complete with Abby's intense focus and sharing her addiction to Caf-Pow. The episode also picked up a little on the apparent crush McGee has on Abby when his jealousy flared after Abby developed a crush on Special Agent Simon Cade, assistant to E.J. Barrett.

Dead Reflections also featured a rare moment between Gibbs and DiNozzo, as DiNozzo confessed his affair with Barrett and told Gibbs he didn't want to end the relationship, breaking one of Gibbs sacred rules, to not date co-workers. Over bourban, Gibb's and DiNozzo's relationship evolved slightly as, for the first time ever, DiNozzo defied Gibbs rules and refused to back down. The follow up to this episode will be eagerly awaited.
