Fun Moments From this Week's Show
If you missed this weeks show you missed more than just a good murder mystery, you also missed a lot of fun between the characters on the show. There were so many great moments that I think they warrant a post of their own.
Abby In Charge
At the beginning of the show Abby shows up in the NCIS agent office and tries to get the team to 'mount up' using her best Gibbs voice. She tries to tell them about the gun that was found and that it had been used in a murder but they just look at her funny and tell her it doesn't warrant a call out. That is until Gibbs shows up and backs up her statement and tells them to get moving and they all hop to it.
Later she tries again, telling Ziva to go look something up. Ziva looks at Gibbs and he tells her to get on it. Abby responds with, "I could get used to this." But her dream of being in charge is cut short by Gibbs who says simply, "Don't."
Mother Abby
Another funny thing that happens in this episode is that Abby kicks into mom mode with a bunch of maggots. She has these maggots named as she waits for them to hatch and is even playing classical music as her way to help them develop more intelligence, although she points out that listening to that type of music may turn her into a psycho killer.
Ziva Terms
While you know we always love to hear Ziva struggle trying to understand English terms and idioms, this week, she said something you thought was wrong but was actually right and was all the funnier for it. The discussion went something like this.
Ziva – I hit a stone wall.
McGee – You mean a brick wall.
Ziva – No, I mean a stone wall. I backed up too quickly.
Golf Clubs and Jazz Albums
The final funny storyline in this week's episode related to a set of Ducky's golf clubs. Ducky had lent his prize clubs to McGee to use, but he accidentally ran over them with a golf cart and broke them. He spends much of the show trying to find a replacement set on an online auction so Ducky will never know. Unfortunately, Tony ends up telling Ducky inadvertently when trying to threaten McGee with the information. That's when Ducky says 'no problem, let's call it even. You remember that jazz album you lent me?" McGee says it was a one of a kind autographed album and wonders what happened to it. Ducky says, "I'm not sure", hinting that something bad is about to befall the album as revenge for the broken golf clubs. It was very cute to see Ducky respond in such a manner.
