Abby Visits Los Angeles - Cool!
This was a great episode - and it was even better because they used Abby, who I personally enjoy watching.
In “Random On Purpose,” a father has his throat slashed at the beginning of the episode. We, the audience, realize that there is a camera in a teddy bear in the empty baby's crib - which ends up not showing anything.
The agents walk into the office and realize that their desks have been straightened and moved. They realize that Hetty set it up this way.
Chief Petty Officer Frank McCellan, the father, was murdered. Vance sends Abby from NCIS to help them find the killer. He believes it is a serial killer and she has been following it at NCIS. You can just imagine how eyes roll when she arrives - she definitely was not who they were expecting.
Callun and his partner start looking for the wife, she had filed for divorce and has the most to gain from the officer's death.
Eric asks Abby out on a date. Abby is in danger because they realize that this phantom is after Abby. He has committed these murders without evidence, knowing that she would follow up. When she goes at back at the restaurant, Eric gets a refill of drinks. Abby is abducted.
They try to track down the person that is holding her. They are led on a goose chase, believing it is somebody until they find that person dead.
Finally, they figure out the receptionist is the person who is known as “The Phantom.” Abby signs for the camera without the phantom looking. Eric reads it and says that she is signing, “Construction noise, door boobeytrapped.” Callun gets his partner (Ice T) to let him down on a fire hose and he bursts through the solar-type window and saves her life killing the Phantom as he is about to axe off her head.
