Disorder

This episode of NCIS: LA continued the show's habit of focusing on one character on the show and of revealing nuggets of that character's past; this week's object of attention; agent Kenzi Blye. During the investigation into a shooting at the house of a discharged Navy intelligence officer name Talbot who appears to be suffering from PTSD, and who suffers from random moments of amnesia, Kenzi reveals a softer side of her nature when she finds herself drawn to helping the officer because he reminds her of the marine she was engaged to six years before who left her without explanation after suffering from PTSD himself. Kenzi does all she can to help the poor lost and abused Naval officer, before information comes to light that indicates he is nowhere near as innocent or lost as he seemed. After attacking Kenzi and escaping protective custody at the safe house where Kenzi and Deiks were acting as his protective detail, Talbot is tailed by the team and witnessed engaging in espionage, at which point Kenzi is forced to shoot Talbot when he pulls a gun on her as he tries to escape. Talbot is killed, justice is served and the team goes their separate ways to celebrate Christmas with their family and friends.
