Enemy Within Synapsis
In “Enemy Within”, NCIS: Los Angeles' most recent episode, the team is tasked with discovering the meaning behind the disappearance of a Commander in Naval Intelligence. This Commander is tasked with surveillance and intelligence on a politician from Venezuela, this means the agents under G Callen's command must deduce whether the politicians life is in danger or if there is an even more sinister scheme at hand. The commander has a wife and daughter so agent Bly and Detective Deeks are sent to ask them the standard questions, while interviewing the wife, the missing commander's daughter, who is described as bratty, comes in to the kitchen, prompting Deeks to request permission to retreat outside in order to jump on the trampoline. While at the commander's house Kensi witnesses a text to both the wife's and daughter's cell phones, when Eric traces there location, Kensi races outside to see a blue pick-up speeding off. Sam and Callen then decide the only viable option to smoke out the commander is to have his daughter appear to have been kidnapped, so they show a van pull up behind her and grab her while she is on the phone. The girl is seen playing cards with Sam after they show Kensi talking to her mom, where the police are setting up a ransom line. Meanwhile, Eric has located the pick-up truck so the team goes to check out the house and find the Commander, tied up and tortured, but alive.
