Hand-to-Hand Recap
In the last episode of NCIS Los Angeles, the spin-off of CBS' hit series, NCIS, Sam Hanna (LL Cool J) goes undercover as an MMA fighter. He was forced into this role after his team found the body of a Marine stationed at Camp Pendleton outside of a nightclub with major blood loss.
The team finds out that the Marine was a fighter at a club called the Blood & Guts Warriors. As they learn that he was “blood packing” to help him in his MMA fights, the team believes he was given a blood thinner to kill him. This leads a female team member to investigate the B & G Warriors' club. She meets the owner, Victor Janklow, and three of the Marine fighters who train there. There is also a man who seems out of place, as he isn't a Marine, training with the men.
The man, Jason Wyler, is found to be an alias after a background check shows he isn't a real person. When a spot opens in the club, Hanna is sent in as DeMarco Williams to fight for the spot and to find out what the club is really being used for. He ends up fighting Wyler.
After Hanna beats Wyler, the two scuffle outside of the MMA club. Both are taken into custody where it is learned that Wyler is really an LAPD undercover officer, Marty Deeks, who is supposed to find out about a suspected drug ring in the club.
After the team narrows the suspects down to find the culprit, Janklow, Hanna gets stuck with Janklow in the club. Janklow also realizes that something isn't right and starts questioning Hanna. Just when it seems that Janklow will kill Hanna to avoid having him get too close, Deeks shows up and helps Hanna take down the three men.
Later, Deeks is offered a liason position at NCIS. He accepts. This should lead to some exciting future episodes as Hanna and Deeks have shown they work well together!
