NCIS LA Pilot

I just finished watching the last episode to this show, and I gotta say that it's a poor showing from this franchise. I've been watching this franchise since the second season of JAG, and as time goes on, and JAG finished out, I was hopeful for NCIS, and while it didn't have quite the same spark, it was a fun enough show to watch. This though... If this is the best the minds that put together JAG can put forth, then I'm really doubting the future of this franchise. This seems nothing more than another basic CSI knockoff, wrapped up in a shiny little package. I'm going to be watching the rest of this series, I suppose, but as of right now, I'm really not seeing how it can hold my interest.

It's disappointing, is the point. I've seen this done a million times. It brings nothing new to the police procedural genre, and the characters just don't seem engaging in any meaningful way. Is it just this episode that's not doing it for me? Are others better? Because frankly, this is just, crummy. It's not even bad. It's just uninteresting to watch, bland and maybe just not my cup of tea.
