NCIS Los Angeles now showing in the UK
As with many other US TV shows, NCIS Los Angeles has made its way to the UK.
The second series is now being aired on SKY1 HD on Monday nights at 10pm. In days gone by you had to wait a long time for US shows to be shown in the UK, but recently SKY have started showing shows a matter of days after they have aired in the US. NCIS Los Angeles is no different as it is shown in the UK within two weeks of the US.
The original NCIS has been screened in the UK for many years on terrestrial TV and is familiar to many UK viewers. The Los Angeles spin off has only been shown on satellite TV to smaller audiences so far, so is not yet as well know.
The most recent episode aired was episode 4 from series 2, entitled Special Delivery.
The plot was fairly complicated in this episode, but as always the show mixed serious issues with light hearted moments involving Hetty, played by Linda Hunt.
Issues covered marines who had returned from Iraq and the possible sale of stolen Iraqi artifacts on the black market. But that was not the first conclusion of the team.
The case started when a marine was found dead in a Beverly Hills car park, minus one of his hands. When it is discovered that he has high level security clearance, and CCTV footage of the car park shows the dead marine alive with a briefcase handcuffed to his hand, the team suspect that confidential government information may have been stolen when the briefcase is missing.
I won't spoil the rest of the plot if you haven't seen, but when you do, play close attention so you don't miss how the plot develops.
