Recap of "Burned"
The NCIS: Los Angeles episode “Burned” begins with the undercover agent G. Callen discovering that someone is following him and his cover has been blown. He is forced to take evasive action, abandon his cell phone and assumed identity, and after alerting his team, he cuts off contact with them. He is then contacted by a man named Eugene Keelson who claims to know details from his past and demands that he impersonate him in a deal with some Bulgarian thugs. Callen reluctantly agrees after discovering that Keelson has hacked into the NCIS servers and compromised the entire agency. Callen meets the Bulgarians, an encounter that results in a shootout in which he kills several thugs. He then reestablishes contact with his team, who have moved to a temporary and more secure location, and they begin a frantic search for Keelson. They search across Los Angeles for clues to his whereabouts, and they must find him before he is able to sell the NCIS data he has stolen on the black market, which would have undermined all of the agency's cases. Finally, they meet with the head Bulgarian gangster in Griffith Park, with a panorama of the City of Angels in the background. The agents shoot and kill him, and discover that Keelson is also in the crowd, and after chasing him, Callen shoots and kills him. At the end he discovers a key card, which the team determines gives them access to Keelson's very powerful servers. The episode ends with “To Be Continued ”
