CSI in My Life
I have enjoyed CSI for many years. The show has a good combination of intrigue and science. I began watching the show when I first started dating my current girlfriend. The show became one of our weekly rituals. We would snuggle up and watch Grissom play with bugs. I have gone as far as to buy the collections when they come out on DVD so I can watch them while I am on my treadmill.
The show is a nice twist on the old police shows that have the same plot repeated every couple of weeks. Then when the shows got poor ratings it was chewed up another police series is regurgitated. The spin-offs of CSI have the same type of redundancy. Although the CSI spin-offs are good, they are poor imitations of the original.
Another reason I enjoy CSI is that I lived in Las Vegas for a while and I like to watch for “off-strip” areas that I recognize. My girlfriend and I recently went on a vacation to Las Vegas and I drove her around to some of the areas that have been seen in the shows. She loved it. I am not such a fanatic that I have made CSI my entire life, but I would say that the show has definitely influenced my life.
