A Bolder Killer

Another week, another gruesome death on Harperߴs Island. It was looking like the wedding goers might be able make it through the week intact, but we had the shocking killing of the father of the bride, Thomas Wellington. This weekߴs murder is different from all of the others for a number of reasons. These changes include the publicity of it, and the fact that the victim was killed by a trap, instead of directly by their hand.

First of all, it is the first murder where there is no doubt whatsoever about it being a murder. The killer, or killers, finally decided to announce to the entire island that there are murders taking place, instead of hiding the bodies or making it look like suicide. Some might consider this is a bold statement, and a very cocky move because before that, most people did not have any clue that anything was wrong, but the killer may have realized that people had finally figured out that Reverend Fain was missing, and as such knew that his actions were not going to keep going undetected for long.

Secondly, every other murder was done by the killers own hand. While traps had been used in the past, the traps only were used to disable the victims not to kill them. This could lead in future weeks to a deadly new game, where traps are killing people all over the island as they flee.
