The Death of Malcolm Ross: Opportunistic or Planned?

Another week and another fatality on the television show Harperߴs Island. The death of Malcolm Ross, the groomsman with dreams of hitting the big times with his Sacred Turtle Brewery, has been involved in some shady dealings. Such as watching as Booth accidentally shot himself and then stealing the money the groomsmen had all recovered from the boat.

The odd thing is that some murders seem to be murders of opportunity, such as Uncle Marty, Richard Allen, and Lucy Daramour. While other murders seem to be very deliberate and planned, such as Reverend Fain, Hunter Jennings, Kelly Seaver, and of course, Thomas Wellington. Malcolmߴs murder seems to be one of opportunity as well, as no one knew he was going to the furnace to burn the ill begotten money, or was it?

I still think there is more than one killer roaming Harperߴs Island, and perhaps one of them is one of the groomsman who confronted Malcolm about Booth, and then followed him when he went to the furnace to burn the money, and either killed him to stop him from doing it, allowing him to have all the money or himself, or as revenge for Boothߴs death.

Another possibility is that perhaps Booth really isnߴt dead. His death may have been staged using movie effects, and allowing others to think him dead gives him more room to go out and kill people, as no one would be looking for him, or trying to track his movements. This would mean Malcolm was killed in order to prevent him from leading the others to the site of Boothߴs body, where they would learn he is not really dead.
