Exploring Hitherto Unnoticed Abilities Remains the Other Name of HEROES

The debates always make their way into anything successful since time immemorial. The story has not been any different in the case of HEROES, as well. Industry experts from all quarters have swung into action as soon as the show has reached a certain level of success.

Questions are of manifold. Mainly they revolve around the numerous reasons behind the success of HEROES. As stated in previous blog, the conception for the show had played an instrumental role in making the show a hugely successful one. With Tim Kring introducing an innovative idea of creating a character-driven show, the HEROES was all set to make a history in American science-fiction shows.

And so it was. A hugely popular show which revolved around common people with whom we can easily identify.

While creating this large ensemble saga, as pointed out by himself, Kring was always trying to find characters that are 'larger than life' enough with capabilities of saving the entire world. While doing so, Kring was somehow not satisfied with the known proto-types such as Cops, Docs or characters likewise. Immediately hence, the notice shifted towards the superheroes with a ubiquitous existence for saving the world. However, Tim Kring noticed that superheroes are not the only ones with power for saving the world.

Thus, the idea finally landed up in a completely different zone of common human beings. Therefore the idea of exploration of unexplored abilities that are already hidden in common human beings, became prominent. The uniqueness of this idea lay in the realization of the super natural abilities that one already possesses even while staying in a real world. One of the prominent faces of the show Milo Ventimiglia even described the pilot of the HEROES in his own words, as a "character drama about everyday people with a heightened reality". As suggested by many of the industry experts, that Tim Kring while conceptualizing kept an eye on the fact that the HEROES will be having touchstones. The show, according to him will involve certain characters as well as the world in which the characters thrive.

In its' various episodes the HEROES has been successful in following this trait. Let us look into some such episodes. For example, in the season one, the saviors of New York City were none other than a group of common people who continue living in real world. In season two which was named as 'Generations', we can see these very common men turned 'heroes' coming together while averting the release of a dangerous string of virus. The effort finally helped avoiding a large-scale epidemic.

Thus, while leading to the third session, the audience gets prepared for description of yet another achievement of a group of common people helping to avoid large scale destruction.
