Season One and Two Set the Ball Rolling for The HEROES

Popularity graph for the HEROES began soaring soon after the first few episodes of the first season of the show were telecast. There were reports that the mandarins of entertainment industry were to some extent uncertain about the popularity of the HEROES even after its remarkable debut while piloting the season one.

However, proving all the experts wrong the HEROES has continued acquiring popularity in a steady way. For understanding the statement in a better way, one needs to go through the list of awards that have been awarded to this phenomenally popular show. The show has been able garnering a huge number of prizes. Some of those are acclaimed throughout the world. These prizes include People's Choice Award in the year 2007 in Best New Drama category. The show was also named as Program of the Year 2007 decided by Television Critics Association of America. Not getting satisfied in these awards the show went on receiving the Best International Program at Bafta Awards, 2008.

Raising more eyebrows HEROES continued getting nominated in no less than eight categories at the Primetime Emmy awards, 2007. One most prominent category where the show had been selected was Outstanding Drama Series. Further, the HEROES was nominated for Best Television Series-Drama as well, at Golden Globes 2007.

It remains no wonder then, when it is stated that, "An expert is a man who has made all the mistakes which can be made, in a narrow field"!! However, these are all light-hearted statements, we must keep in mind.

As noticed in our last blog while discussing the various reasons behind the successes of the HEROES, the episodes were of immense importance. Season one was critically acclaimed by several entertainment experts. And according to many reports this session had actually set the ball rolling for the HEROES. The session ended on May 21, 2007. The tone that was set by the season one of the HEROES actually assisted the audience throughout America gasping for more.

With such an environment the HEREOES began airing its' season two. With the audience full of expectation from season one, the show was all set to offer some new surprises. Season two of HEROES contained no less than 11 episodes. The show however intended earlier telecasting 24 episodes. The timings for telecasting for the shows remained same and thus, the 9 p.m. slot of American television program list became one of the most popular slots. However, this shifting from original planning did not absolutely have any effect on the popularity graph of the program. Twice the show was halted and the number of episodes was curtailed in a drastic manner. Though, in a wonder of wonder phenomenon the popularity for the HEROES soared to a completely new level. This season of HEROES actually depicted second part of the series which was named 'Generations'.
