A Week Without NCIS

So this week NCIS was again a rerun and that has me sitting here impatiently waiting for next week to come so I can see what happens next. This also gave me a little more time to think about things that are going on in the show and look around for any more hints of what may be coming. After all, we all need some sort of NCIS fix, don't we?

So, here's what I'm thinking about� the possibility of a Tony and Ziva relationship going to a new level. I had heard a little bit of a rumor going around from the show earlier this year that the end of this season would let us take a much closer look into their relationship and even see something really explosive happen. When it comes to Ziva that could be literal or figurative!

There is a little more information out there now as the season winds down, and if you're like me, you may not totally like it.

The rumor mill has it that instead of really showing us what is going on with the Tony and Ziva relationship, the rest of the season will watch things get more intense between the two of them, but by the time the season ends in the middle of May, there will not be a complete 'decision' made on their relationship. Yes, it seems the producers like the idea of keeping us thinking about what may be going on between the two of them until the next season begins. How unfair!

With that said, I can partially understand that. First there are only three more episodes this season, so if you put it all out there so fast, while doing other story lines, that may dilute some of the progression to whatever type of relationship they get into.

Besides, if you recall, the rumor mill said someone from Ziva's past is going to come in and get in the way. Perhaps that is what will be the trigger to Tony that he really, really cares for her and needs to act on it. I know that works in the real world.

Additionally, I have no doubt there are going to be some other major stories starting to build as we get near the season finale, so it can't all be focused just on the Tony and Ziva angle. I guess we'll just have to wait and see.
