Cleverly expanding the brand

NCIS: Los Angeles is a great addition to the “CSI” type of police investigative drama. It takes the best concepts from the original NCIS series and draws in an instant crowd by showcasing the ever welcome acting skills of hot leading man James Todd Smith, otherwise known as LL Cool J.

But don't think that adding Mr. Smith is the only trick up NCIS Los Angeles' sleeves. Hunky Chris ODonnell plays the role of the lead agent, while Smith provides support with the role of a Special Agent. Interestingly enough, Smith's role is very renaissance-y, with his character being fluent in Arabic and an expert on Middle Eastern culture. Of course, all the other original characters also have excellently casted counterparts. All the characters were casted well, allowing the cast to have an easy flowing comfort, lending to a genuine believability. The intense parts are easy to believe, while the clever humor gives it a sense of comfort while making you smile.

I am usually one to scoff on reintroducing the same show with a new label, but in the case of NCIS: Los Angeles, I, as well as many others, became quick overnight fans. Just 2 episodes into the series, and the cast makes you feel as if they have been on air for several seasons.
