Nate Is Awkward

I really love the energy and obvious connection between the cast members in NCIS – Los Angeles. I never thought this could live up to my expectations as a huge fan of NCIS, but they have. This version of the NCIS family is like a completely different show. The link between the two with Leo is almost unnecessary now. That being said, I find the staff Psychologist Nate very annoying and awkward. I appreciate the quirkiness of the computer geek characters, and the difficultly in communicating with former seals and assassins, but this character never works. The character development attempts to portray Nate as an educated, introspective psychologist, but he seems to only achieve ߵannoying'. The attempted growth of his character into an agent is awkward, his distant personality and halting attempts at interaction with the rest of the team is just a difficult sell to accepting him as a full fledged team member. While the introduction of Deeks is an awkward personality as well, being a former cop among the elite investigators, at least he has a very likable, boyish personality. I was hoping the assignment of Nate to an unnamed oversees country, with subtle advise from Gee would put an end to the character, but I am afraid we will be seeing more from him in seasons to come.
