Enemies

Even after 8 seasons of NCIS, I am not quitting on it. I think most of you are with me! The episode which aired on Tuesday is keeping me on the edge so far.

Eli (Ziva's father) shows up in US on a very short notice and the burden is on NCIS to protect him. The reunion between father and daughter is pretty intensely depicted. Eli do not regret abandoning Ziva. She is not not too fond of him, for what he did with her and also for what he stands for. The family reunion scene was especially good for the acting prowess of Eli (played by Michael Nouri to perfection). The lack of remorse on his part for his actions and his bluntness in stating it was a bit creepy on Ziva. But, then Eli is not a man of cheap sentiments and is steadfast in his duty to Israel.

Eli is a character of immense resolve and has amble scope for show casing his courage in handling the tough situation. When he says, "If he can kill me, I don't think I would want to go on anyway" sums up his nature and I felt like applauding.

Even if Ziva is in a comfortable position with her NCIS job and colleagues, it is not easy for her to ignore or forget Eli's past actions completely.

Once Liat proves her amazing abilities, Ziva is impressed as well as a little intimidated, all at the same time. Then, that is quite natural to happen! After the rest room scene with Liat, Ziva was about to ignore Eli altogether, but Abby persuaded her to change that decision.

Gibbs and Vance were a bit rattled at the news of terrorist plans to take Eli out, but Eli took it in his stride. Gibbs was bold enough to take a chance and stick with Eli out in the open and even risking his life. The plan succeeded in getting two Palestinian terrorists out. But the mastermind, Al-Masri was going to be a tricky customer.

All of us knew the attack was coming. Still we were a bit shocked when the actual attack happened.

Ziva had a job at her hand and she proved her mettle by taking out the terrorist without any hesitation at all.

What is it going to be in the next episode? Are they going to kill some one off? May be Eli. If you look at NCIS track record, they are not averse to killing off any one!
