Season 7 Episode 12 Flesh and Blood Review

The most recent episode of NCIS ( short for Naval Criminal Investigative Service) Season 7 is the 12th episode which was entitled Flesh and Blood. This episode was aired last January 12, 2010. In this episode which was also the 150th episode of the whole NCIS series, for the first time ever the father of Special Agent Tony, Anthony DiNozzo Sr. makes a guest appearance in the show. Tony's father gets involved with a case which concerns a plot of assassination against a prince. However Special Agent Tony's father has connections which made Special Agent Leroy Jethro Gibbs, played by Mark Harmon, doubtful of DiNozzo's impartialness on the investigation of the case. Also the sudden appearance of Tony's father makes Tony unable to concentrate on the case itself because he found out that his father was connected with the assassination attempt on the prince. Tony's father, Anthony DiNozzo Sr. Is played by guest actor Robert Wagner. This episode shows how vulnerable Special Agent Anthony “Tony” Dinozzo, played by actor Michael Weatherly, is when matters concerning his father is involved in not just any case but in an assassination case. This shows the deep bond between father and son which hinders the professionalism of Tony. Though this bond between him and his father, Tony shows care and utmost respect for his father however conflicts would arise from this dilemma which might hinder the investigation of the assassination case against the prince and which is why it is only natural for Special agent Gibbs to suspect Tony that he might not be able to concentrate on the case and be impartial on the investigation because he knows that Tony's father might be really involved in the case. This poses a challenge for Special agent Tony for his loyalty to his work, country and his family. Tony is torn between trying to solve the case without holding anything back and protecting his father since DiNozzo Sr. Might be involved. The leadership of Special Agent Gibbs will be tested here on how he will handle the case and situation. Though the story is cut short in this episode, the next episode, Episode 13 which will be entitled Jetlag will surely give a nice twist to the story. Episode 13 – Jetlag will be aired January 26, 2010. Hopefully this episode will clearout and straighten the facts behind the involvement of DiNozzo Sr. in the assassination case against the prince.
